How many tries does it take to get good at something?
Here’s the thing I’ve noticed with people who go NOWHERE in life.
When something doesn’t work after 2, 3, or even 4 tries…
They hear a voice in their head that it’ll never work and to throw in the towel.
The thing is…
Your brain DOESN'T know it takes at least 30, 40, or 50 times of trying and failing just to start getting good at something
It literally takes doing something that many times just to get a FEEL for a skill or goal.
Let alone to get "good" at it.
Because your brain doesn’t know that…
It throws up the voice to QUIT much sooner than your should.
So, if you ever stopped something because of that voice, you likely didn’t put enough reps.
Understanding this can change your approach to challenges
Instead of feeling discouraged after a few tries, you know that was just warm-up.
And it’s NOT because you’re a slow learner or don’t have what it takes.
That's how many tries it takes to get good at something for every BODY.
It’s how everyone’s brains and bodies are built.
Next time something doesn’t work out quickly, know that's how it's supposed to be.
