Practice Skill #2
Start by standing in a closed position, with your feet close together and your weight on the balls of your feet.
1. Begin with the basic step, which is a simple side-to-side step that is done with three steps and a tap:
a. On count 1, take a small step to the left with your left foot.
b. On count 2, take a small step to the left with your right foot, so that your left and right foot meet.
c. On count 3, take a small step to the left with your left foot again.
d. On count 4, tap your right foot next to your left foot.
2. Now step back the other way:
a. On count 5, take a small step to the right with your left right.
b. On count 6, take a small step to the right with your left foot, so that your right and left foot meet.
c. On count 3, take a small step to the right with your right foot again.
d. On count 4, tap your left foot next to your right foot, so that you are now at the starting point.
So start with the first set of instructions and do it a few times.
Then do the second set a few times.
Finally combine the two.
